BBC, RTE and Raidio Failte
Just home from a heart warming media visit to Ireland.
Thursday was the recording of Blas Ceoil which will be broadcast on the 28th of October on BBC2.
Friday a day with exciting radio interviews visiting Gerry Anderson at the BBC in Belfast, Eoghan O’Niell at Raidio Fáilte and Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí in his RnG programme Ronan Beo.
The Irish Festival of Oulu
We had a great time at The Irish Festival of Oulu in Finland. There were workshops and sessions all weekend long where local musicians played with the performing, visiting musicians. There was a great atmosphere and everyone was so warm and friendly.
We had the great pleasure to play some songs at a poetry reading with Harry Clifton and as he said, together we represented three mediums of poetry: music, song, and spoken words.
Sunday night was the main concert of the festival with Altan who got a standing ovation and here I was the opening act together with Magnus Wiik on guitar. A great festival on all levels – Slán, Marianne
